George Bales Community Center

In 1959 George and Elenita Bales came and over their 20 year association with Rose Valley much changed; the church building was remodeled and significantly expanded, the original gym was lovingly built and rebuilt after the roof collapsed under a snow load. It became the center of activity for Rose Valley. Exceptional youth programs such as VBS and "Valley" ball involving hundreds of youth each year took place in the church gym. The building of a new parsonage gave pastors a comfortable and welcome place to live.

In 2011, the old beloved gym was in need of substantial repairs. The decicion was made to replace it with a new Gym that was completed and dedicated in June of 2012, as the new George Bales Community Center.

Valley Ball

Rose Valley Basketball season is typically November through February. Sign ups begin in October for grades 2nd-12th.

Games are held once a week on Mondays or Tuesdays, opening the weekend to family events or other activities.

Our Mission:

To encourage, cherish, and nurture each child

To teach, by word and example, honor, discipline, grace, sportsmanship and team work

To express the love and grace of God to everyone who participates in this program

Clinics

Clinics are held periodically through the year allowing players to continue developing their skills during the season and during the off season.

Focused Skills:

ball handling, speed and agility, passing, rebounding, shooting and defense.

The major focus will be improving individually as a player.

Scrimmages are matched by comparable experience levels.

Sessions typically run once a week and the cost varies based on the length of each session.

Tournaments

George Bales Gym is a wonderful location for basketball. Indoors we have a full size court with adjustable hoops for multiple ages. We also have three outdoor half courts which allow for mutiple games to be conducted at one time.

While you're waiting for your next game don't forget to check out our concession stand and grab yourself a snack. Don't want to stay indoors to enjoy your snack in our kitchen seating area, then head outdoors and let your little one play on our playset.

There are many amenities that other venues don't have, that we do. Grab your team and enjoy a day in the valley playing ball!!
